Sweet Chestnut Collection Plate

I cant help but think Victorian collection plate when i pick up this piece. It wasn't a deliberate design decision, it was simply what was hidden within the blank that I simply revealed. The knot has dried at a different rate to the rest of the piece and pulled away a little, allowing a view of the surface the plate is resting on through the resulting fissure. Now the piece if fully dried, it is stable and won't move further.
