Undercut Rim Spalted Beech Dish

A wonderful piece of Spalted Beech with an undercut rim. The spalting patterns are clear and defined with small patches of fungal bleaching. These are areas where the spalting has started to affect the colouration of the wood. The next stage of excessive spalting is further bleaching and reduction in wood density prior to complete structural collapse. Sealed with food safe mineral oil.
