English Oak sphere, turned using the octagon method, hollowed, scorched internally, and fumed to age the exterior. The base has been deliberately left slightly heavier so the piece naturally returns to a near upright position when rolled. Alternatively, placing the piece on the accompanying base ring will allow precise positioning of the opening to your preference.
