Copper Stabilised Burnt Oak Bowl

Oak bowl turned parallel to the grain and then scorched. One area of soft spring growth caught and was burnt away as the bowl moved from round to elliptical under the blowtorch as tension cracks appeared at the rim. While the tension cracks will not extend they have been secured by copper binding for visual effect and reassurance.
